Just Go Outside — Privacy Policy
Effective date:10/11/26
This Privacy Policy explains how Just Go Outside (the "Game"), made by John Kehrli of Terrible Viking Games ("we", "us"), handles information. It covers the Android app available on Google Play (package com.terriblevikinggames.justgooutside).
The short version
We do not collect, store, sell or share any personal information. The Game has:
no accounts or sign-in;
no advertising;
no analytics or tracking;
no in-game purchases (the Game is a one-time purchase on Google Play);
no connection to our servers (we don't have any).
Everything you do in the Game stays on your device.
What the Game stores on your device
The Game saves your progress and settings in the app's private storage on your phone. This includes your rocks, stickers, Rockdollars, unlocked areas, and settings such as volume and controls.
This save data never leaves your device through the Game, and we cannot see it. It contains no name, email, location, contacts, photos or other personal details.
Backups by Android
If Android backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the Game's save in your device backup to your Google account. This is done by Google, not by us, so your progress can come back on a new phone. We never receive or see this backup.
You can turn device backup on or off in your phone's Settings. Google's handling of backups is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Google Play
You buy and download the Game through Google Play. Google processes the payment, and we never see or store your card or payment details. Google may collect information about your download, device and app usage under its own privacy policy. Through the Google Play Console, Google shares with us summary statistics (such as install counts and crash reports) and limited order details (such as an order number, date, price and country) that we need for refunds, tax and accounting. We do not use order details for marketing and do not share them with anyone else. These do not identify you personally, and we use them only to keep the Game working well.

Why
Internet
Included by the app framework the Game is built on. The Game does not send or receive any data.
Vibration
Small buzzes when you dig or find something. You can turn this off in Settings (Buzz).
The Game does not ask for your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or files.
Children's privacy
The Game is a family-friendly game that players of any age can enjoy. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). The Game has no chat, no way to contact other players, and no links to outside websites in gameplay.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling the Game deletes its save from your device. You can also clear it in your phone's Settings (Apps, Just Go Outside, Storage, Clear data). To remove a copy from your Android backup, manage backups in your Google account. Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Changes to this policy
If the Game changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, adding purchases or online features), we will update this policy and its effective date before that version is released.
